   Sammanfattning : The mass production of Christian art in the 19th century, including all the reproductions of the Christ by the Danish sculptor Bertel Thorvaldsen, has contributed to a cliché that many persons perceive as a true portrait of the historical Jesus, even though it ultimately stands, not for a historical probability, but for the classical ideal of noble beauty. The thesis takes up representations of Christ by a score of Swedish artists. LÄS MER

   Sammanfattning : This study of the reception of the Gospels in modern fiction combines biblical studies with literary criticism. As a dissertation in the field of New Testament exegesis, the study attempts to establish a middle course between a postmodern (Anglo-American) cultural studies-approach, and a more classical (German) examination of the Bible’s evolving history of interpretation or Wirkungsgeschichte.
