  1. 16. High Temperature Corrosion Behaviour of Ni-base Alloys and FeCrAl Alloys – The Influence of Water Vapour

    Författare :Tommy Sand; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Cr-evaporation; FeCrAl alloy; Oxidation; Chromia scale; Alumina scale; High-temperature corrosion; Ni-base alloy;

    Sammanfattning : Electricity production, transportation, and manufacturing industry are some of the largest sources of greenhouse gas emissions. In many cases, these processes are carried out at high temperature and energy efficiency is limited by material degradation, so-called ‘high-temperature corrosion’. LÄS MER

  2. 17. High Temperature Corrosion in Fluidised Bed Environment

    Författare :Anna Nafari; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; CFB; coatings; Ni and iron based alloys; HCl; SO2; loop seal; High temperature corrosion; erosion corrosion test rig; surface characterization and temperature gradient;

    Sammanfattning : Successful material selection for power plants is the result of understanding the environment in each boiler. The boiler environment is affected by fuel chemistry, co-firing, process control and deposits as well as boiler type, design, size and load. LÄS MER

  3. 18. High temperature properties of polycrystalline Mo(Si,Al)2: compression and oxidation

    Författare :Aina Edgren; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []

    Författare :Christian Öberg; Stefan Jonsson; Baohua Zhu; John Hald; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Creep; creep behaviour; creep damage; ductile cast iron; high-alloyed austenitic cast steel; thermal cycling; tensile testing; stress relaxation; oxidation; precipitation.; Teknisk materialvetenskap; Materials Science and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis focuses on creep of four cast materials intended for exhaust manifolds in heavy-duty truck engines. Two of the materials are ferritic ductile cast irons, SiMo51 and SiMo1000, one is an austenitic ductile cast iron, D5S, and another one is an austenitic cast steel, HK30. LÄS MER

  5. 20. Oxidation and corrosion fatigue aspects of cast exhaust manifolds

    Författare :Madeleine Ekström; Stefan Jonsson; Ulf Olofsson; Babette Tonn; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; cast exhaust manifolds; high-temperature corrosion; high-temperature low-cycle fatigue; high-temperature corrosion fatigue; ductile cast irons; cast stainless steel; Materials Science and Engineering; Teknisk materialvetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : Emission regulations for heavy-duty diesel engines are becoming increasingly restrictive to limit the environmental impacts of exhaust gases and particles. Increasing the specific power output of diesel engines would improve fuel efficiency and greatly reduce emissions, but these changes could lead to increased exhaust gas temperature, increasing demands on the exhaust manifold material.
