    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Informations- och kommunikationsteknik; Information and Communication Technology;

    Sammanfattning : The current data center architectures based on blade servers and elec- tronic packet switches face several problems, e.g., limited resource utilization, high power consumption and cost, when handling the rapidly growing of data traffic. LÄS MER

  2. 12. Partial CO2 capture to facilitate cost-efficient deployment of carbon capture and storage in process industries - Deliberations on process design, heat integration, and carbon allocation

    Författare :Max Biermann; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; carbon allocation; Partial CO2 capture; process industry; techno-economic assessment; CCS; heat recovery; amine absorption;

    Sammanfattning : Climate change requires that all energy-related sectors reduce drastically their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, at a global rate of 1–2 GtCO2 per year, starting now. Process industries, such as the iron and steel, cement, petrochemical, and oil-refining industries, are inherently carbon-intensive, and carbon capture and storage (CCS) is one of the few options available to achieve the required deep reductions in carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. Sammanfattning : Waterborne public transportation (WPT) is slowly increasing in importance as an active component of public transportation networks in cities. City planners are looking at WPT to overcome urban congestion and pollution. LÄS MER

  5. 15. Application of Parallel Computers to Enhance the Flow Modelling Capability in Aircraft Design

    Författare :Mattias Sillén; Dan Loyd; Peter Eliasson; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; flow modelling; parallel computer; parallel efficiency; turbulence modelling; aircraft design; CFD; Fluid mechanics; Strömningsmekanik;

    Sammanfattning : The development process for new aircraft configurations needs to be more efficient in terms of performance, cost and time to market. The potential to influence these factors is highest in early design phases. Thus, high confidence must be established in the product earlier than today. LÄS MER
