  1. 1. Subject retrieval in web-based library catalogs

    Författare :Koraljka Golub; Jadranka Lasić-Lazić; Department of Information Science Filozofski fakultet u Zagrebu; []
    Nyckelord :SOCIAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; British university libraries; Croatian university libraries; Indexing and retrieval systems; Online library catalogs; Subject access points; Subject retrieval; User interface; User search behavior; WebPACs; Library and Information Science; Biblioteks- och informationsvetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis has been motivated by past research, problems and realizations that online library catalog users frequently perform subject searches – using keywords, subject headings and descriptors – and these searches have yielded unsatisfactory results. Web-based catalogs or WebPACs (Web-based Online Public Access Catalogs), belonging to the so-called third generation of online catalogs and providing a wide variety of search options, remain largely underutilized despite the continuous advancement of information retrieval systems. 3. 3. An Intelligent Non-Contact based Approach for Monitoring Driver’s Cognitive Load

    Författare :Hamidur Rahman; Shahina Begum; Mobyen Uddin Ahmed; Peter Funk; Jerker Westin; Mälardalens högskola; []

    Sammanfattning : The modern cars have been equipped with advanced technical features to help make driving faster, safer and comfortable. However, to enhance transport security i.e. to avoid unexpected traffic accidents it is necessary to consider a vehicle driver as a part of the environment and need to monitor driver’s health and mental state. 4. 4. Artificial Intelligence for Non-Contact-Based Driver Health Monitoring

    Författare :Hamidur Rahman; Mobyen Uddin Ahmed; Shahina Begum; Peter Funk; Hasan Fleyeh; Mälardalens högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Driver Monitoring; Artificial Intelligence; Machine Learning; Deep Learning; Computer Science; datavetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : In clinical situations, a patient’s physical state is often monitored by sensors attached to the patient, and medical staff are alerted if the patient’s status changes in an undesirable or life-threatening direction. However, in unsupervised situations, such as when driving a vehicle, connecting sensors to the driver is often troublesome and wired sensors may not produce sufficient quality due to factors such as movement and electrical disturbance. 5. 5. Intelligent Driver Mental State Monitoring System Using Physiological Sensor Signals

    Författare :Shaibal Barua; Peter Funk; Shahina Begum; Mobyen Uddin Ahmed; Christer Ahlström; Jose Peña; Mälardalens högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Artificial Intelligent; Intelligent systems; Physiological signal; Driver monitoring; Computer Science; datavetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : Driving a vehicle involves a series of events, which are related to and evolve with the mental state (such as sleepiness, mental load, and stress) of the driv- er. These states are also identified as causal factors of critical situations that can lead to road accidents and vehicle crashes. LÄS MER
