41. Synthesis of aromatic bis- and tris(amino acids) and chiral dendrimers
Sammanfattning : A number of protected aromatic bis- and tris(amino acids) have been synthesised by catalytic asymmetric hydrogenation of the corresponding didehydroamino acid derivatives. The didehydroamino acid derivatives were prepared either by a Heck coupling of a 2-amidoacrylate with an aryl dihalide, or by Horner-Wadsworth-Emmons olefination of aromatic aldehydes with phosphonylglycine reagents. 42. An Organic Chemistry Odyssey : Imaging Mass Spectrometry in Neurotherapeutics, Asymmetric Methodology Development and Natural Product Synthesis
Sammanfattning : The development of imaging technologies and brain models is crucial for advancements in neurotherapeutic drug discovery and development. They assume a critical role in evaluating essential parameters such as drug blood-brain barrier (BBB) permeation, distribution, and metabolism, all of which are vital for the development of safe and effective medications. 43. Asymmetric transfer hydrogenation of aromatic ketones and azirines with NH-ligands
Sammanfattning : The Ru(arene)[(1S, 3R, 4R)-3-(Hydroxymethyl)-2-azabicyclo[2.2.1]heptane catalyst was optimized as ligand in the asymmetric transfer hydrogenation of ketones and resulted in increased activity and enantioselectivity of the catalyst. LÄS MER

45. N-Heterocyclic Carbene-Phosphine Iridium Catalyzed Alkylation Reactions and Asymmetric Hydrogenation of Ketones
Sammanfattning : This thesis is focused on hydrogen transfer reactions using N-heterocyclic carbenephosphine iridium catalysts and is divided in two parts. The first part describes the use of achiral N-heterocyclic carbene-phosphine iridium complexes catalyzing the methylation of ketones and alkylation of amides using alcohols as the electrophile.
