21. Aspects of Porous Graphitic Carbon as Packing Material in Capillary Liquid Chromatography
Sammanfattning : In this thesis, porous graphitic carbon (PGC) has been used as packing material in packed capillary liquid chromatography. The unique chromatographic properties of PGC has been studied in some detail and applied to different analytical challenges using both electrospray ionization-mass spectrometry (ESI-MS) and ultra violet (UV) absorbance detection. 22. Selective Catalytic Reduction of NOx over Alumina-Supported Silver and Indium During Lean Operation
Sammanfattning : Catalytic emission control for vehicles was first applied in the 1970’s. The first such catalysts were designed to oxidize unburned hydrocarbons (HC) and carbon monoxide (CO). LÄS MER
23. Aqueous graphene dispersions for paper packaging
Sammanfattning : Graphene is widely touted as the thinnest and the most versatile material available. As an atomically thin layer of carbon atoms arranged in a hexagonal configuration, graphene has a combination of technologically important properties, such as thermal and electrical conductivity, mechanical strength, and impermeability to gases. 24. Interactions between neuroblastoma and the immune system : cellular pathways and mediators
Sammanfattning : Neuroblastoma (NB) is an embryonal tumor of early childhood arising in tissues of the sympathetic nervous system, such as the adrenal gland and paraspinal ganglia. It is the most common extra-cranial solid tumor of childhood, and 10-20 children are diagnosed with NB each year in Sweden. LÄS MER
25. Preparation of New Catalytic Materials by Small Particle Technology
Sammanfattning : New techniques for preparation of catalytic materials with novel properties are presented in this thesis. Three new catalytic materials; washcoated fibres, highly dispersed metal oxides on titania coated silica particles and discrete colloidal ZSM-5 crystals with a low SiO2/Al2O3 ratio have been prepared and characterised.
