    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Health impact assessment; Air pollution; Active commuting; Exercise; Interaction. Cardiovascular diseases; Ischemic heart diseases; Stroke; Public health; folkhälsa; Occupational and Environmental Medicine; arbets- och miljömedicin;

    Sammanfattning : Background: There are increasing number of health impact assessment studies investigating the health effects by transferring trips made by motorised transport to active commuting; however, air pollution exposure during active commuting and its impact on health has been less thoroughly assessed. It is furthermore uncertain whether there is any interaction effect between air pollution and physical activity for the risk of cardiovascular diseases. LÄS MER

  2. 2. On the Use of Simulation and Optimization for the Analysis and Planning of Prehospital Stroke Care

    Författare :Saeid Amouzad Mahdiraji; Johan Holmgren; Radu-Casian Mihailescu; Jesper Petersson; Tobias Andersson Granberg; Malmö universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Stroke Transport Policies; EMS; Mobile Stroke Unit; MSU; Simulation; Optimization; Modeling Framework.;

    Sammanfattning : Immediate treatment is of extreme importance for stroke patients. However, providing fast enough treatment for stroke patients is far from trivial, mainly due to logistical challenges and difficulties in diagnosing the correct stroke type. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Improved health economic assessments of sustainable transport solutions in urban environments

    Författare :Hedi Katre Kriit; Johan Nilsson Sommar; Joacim Rocklöv; Martin Andersson; Joel Schwartz; Umeå universitet; []

    Sammanfattning : Introduction: Part of the European Strategy to achieve climate neutrality in the transport sector is to increase the proportion of electric vehicles (EVs) and active commuting. Health co-benefits from reduced air pollution and increased active commuting are assumed to follow; however, all dimensions of expected health effects are not quantified nor valued monetarily. LÄS MER
