  1. 1. Relationships between nomenclature, phylogenetics and systematics

    Författare :Yann Bertrand; Mikael Härlin; Mieczyslaw Wolsan; Södertörns högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; PhyloCode; philosophy; systematics; individuality; natural kind; possible worlds; causal theory of reference; PhyloCode; philosophy; systematics; individuality; natural kind; possible worlds; causal theory of reference;

    Sammanfattning : Systematists have become increasingly aware of the limits imposed by the current system of nomenclature for accurately representing evolutionary relationships and managing efficiently names associated with clades. In reaction, a new system of nomenclature, the PhyloCode is being developed that fully recognizes the historical nature of taxonomy and the importance of the cladistics revolution. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Autolytinae: molecules, morphology, and reproduction

    Författare :Arne Nygren; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Phylogeny; systematics; revision; new taxa; PhyloCode; reconstruction of ancestral states.;

    Sammanfattning : Autolytines constitute a well delineated group of syllid polychaetes, separated from other syllids by the presence of a sinuous pharynx, lack of ventral cirri and reproduction with dimorphic sexes. The group comprises c. 170 nominal species distributed worldwide, mostly inhabiting hard substrates restricted to the continental shelf. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Phylogeny and Taxonomy of Childia (Acoela) : New characters for unraveling acoel phylogenies from molecules, ultrastructure, immunocytochemistry and confocal microscopy

    Sammanfattning : This thesis presents a comprehensive phylogenetic and taxonomic study of an acoel subgroup, the Childiidae. Members of this taxon are characterized by well-developed male copulatory organs with conical/cylindrical stylets. LÄS MER
