36. Position Sensitive Detectors : Device Technology and Applications in Spectroscopy
Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with the development, processing and characterization of position sensitive detectors and, in addition, to the development of compact and cost effective spectrometers. Position sensitive detectors are used to measure, with great accuracy and speed, the position of a light spot incident on the surface. LÄS MER
37. Thermal stresses in concrete structures at early ages
Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with the problem of formulating constitutive models for the analysis of early-age thermal stresses in concrete due to hydration. The main features of the work are constitutive modelling of early-age concrete behaviour experimental studies to check the models and to determine material parameters application of the models to some design and construction situations. 38. Parametrically pumped superconducting circuits
Sammanfattning : In this licentiate thesis, I present the design, fabrication, and characterization of superconducting parametric resonators, for use in quantum information processing. These devices are quarter-wavelength coplanar waveguide resonators (~5 GHz), terminated at one end by a non-linear inductance provided by a SQUID (superconducting quantum interference device). 39. Identification Techniques for Mathematical Modeling of the Human Smooth Pursuit System
Sammanfattning : This thesis proposes nonlinear system identification techniques for the mathematical modeling of the human smooth pursuit system (SPS) with application to motor symptom quantification in Parkinson's disease (PD). The SPS refers to the complex neuromuscular system in humans that governs the smooth pursuit eye movements (SPEM). LÄS MER
40. Admissible transformations and the group classification of Schrödinger equations
Sammanfattning : We study admissible transformations and solve group classification problems for various classes of linear and nonlinear Schrödinger equations with an arbitrary number n of space variables. The aim of the thesis is twofold. LÄS MER
