1. Facilitating electron transfer in bioelectrocatalytic systems
Sammanfattning : Bioelectrocatalytic systems are based on biological entities, such as enzymes, whole cells, parts of cells or tissues, which catalyse electrochemical processes that involve the interaction between chemical change and electrical energy. In all cases, biocatalysis is implemented by enzymes, isolated or residing inside cells or part of cells. LÄS MER
2. The international diffusion of new chemical entities : A cross-national study of the determinants of differences in drug lag
Sammanfattning : The two main objectives of this thesis are to make a general contribution to the understanding of the international diffusion of new chemical entities (NCEs) and to improve the research methods by applying econometric methodology. The study is based on a data base including all 553 NCEs introduced in Sweden during the period 1960-1987 and their introductions in France, West Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, the United States and Norway. 3. Natural Product Synthesis and Development of Novel Reaction Methodology
Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with the development of new reaction methodology for stereoselective synthesis, as well as total synthesis of natural products and investigations of the stereochemical outcome in the Mukaiyama aldol reaction. Chapter 2 describes efforts made towards the total synthesis of the oxindole natural products perophoramidine and the communesin. LÄS MER
4. Synthesis and Robotized Screening of Novel Perovskite Materials for Solar Cell Application
Sammanfattning : As of today, the energy consumption in the world is high and is essential in the development and growth of the modern-day society. The world energy consumption is projected to increase significantly over the next decades. LÄS MER
5. Continuum modelling of particle flows in high shear granulation
Sammanfattning : High shear granulation is an important process in the pharmaceutical industry. The aim of the process is to produce granules with specific properties, like size and hardness, from powder mixtures. The properties of the granules are determined by the flow field in the mixer. LÄS MER
