1. Metal Oxide Thin Films and Nanostructures Made by ALD
Sammanfattning : Thin films of cobalt oxide, iron oxide and niobium oxide, and nanostructured thin films of iron oxide, titanium oxide and multilayered iron oxide/titanium oxide have been deposited by Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD). The metal oxides were grown using the precursor combinations CoI2/O2, Fe(Cp)2/O2, NbI5/O2 and TiI4/H2O. LÄS MER
2. Synthesis, Characterization and Applications of Metal Oxide Nanostructures
Sammanfattning : The main objective of nanotechnology is to build self-powered nanosystems that are ultrasmall in size, exhibit super sensitivity, extraordinary multi functionality, and extremely low power consumption. As we all know that 21st century has brought two most important challenges for us. One is energy shortage and the other is global warming. LÄS MER
3. Chemically Modified Metal Oxide Nanostructures Electrodes for Sensing and Energy Conversion
Sammanfattning : The goal of this thesis is the development of scalable, low cost synthesis of metal oxide nanostructures based electrodes and to correlate the chemical modifications with their energy conversion performance. Methods in energy conversion in this thesis have focused on two aspects; a potentiometric chemical sensor was used to determine the analytical concentration of some components of the analyte solution such as dopamine, glucose and glutamate molecules. 4. Electrochromic Nickel – Tungsten Oxides : Optical, Electrochemical and Structural Characterization of Sputter-deposited Thin Films in the Whole Composition Range
Sammanfattning : This thesis investigates the electrochromic NixW1-x oxide thin film system, where 0 < x < 1. The thin films were deposited by reactive DC magnetron co-sputtering from one Ni and one W metal target. In addition, Ni oxide was deposited with water vapor added to the sputtering gas. LÄS MER
5. Electrochemical water splitting based on metal oxide composite nanostructures
Sammanfattning : The occurrence of available energy reservoirs is decreasing steeply, therefore we are looking for an alternative and sustainable renewable energy resources. Among them, hydrogen is considered as green fuel with a high density of energy. LÄS MER
