  1. 16. Towards a flexible statistical modelling by latent factors for evaluation of simulated responses to climate forcings

    Författare :Ekaterina Fetisova; Gudrun Brattström; Anders Moberg; Rolf Sundberg; Johan Lindström; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Confirmatory Factor Analysis; Measurement Error models; Structural Equation models; Wald confidence interval; Fieller confidence set; Climate model simulations; Climate forcings; Climate proxy data; Detection and Attribution; Mathematical Statistics; matematisk statistik;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis, using the principles of confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and the cause-effect concept associated with structural equation modelling (SEM), a new flexible statistical framework for evaluation of climate model simulations against observational data is suggested. The design of the framework also makes it possible to investigate the magnitude of the influence of different forcings on the temperature as well as to investigate a general causal latent structure of temperature data. 2. 17. Biomechanical and neural aspects of eccentric and concentric muscle performance in stroke subjects : Implications for resistance training

    Författare :Mattias Hedlund; Britta Lindström; Peter Sojka; Ronnie Lundström; Carl-Johan Olsson; Jan Lexell; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; fMRI; Isokinetic; Motor imagery; Muscular strength; Resistance training; Neurological rehabilitation;

    Sammanfattning : Muscle weakness is one of the major causes of post-stroke disability. Stroke rehabilitation programs now often incorporate the same type of resistance training that is used for healthy subjects; however, the training effects induced from these training strategies are often limited for stroke patients. 3. 18. Developments of Topology Optimization Methods for Additive Manufacturing involving High-cycle Fatigue

    Författare :Shyam Suresh; Anders Klarbring; Stefan Lindström; Carl-Johan Thore; Bo Torstenfelt; Mathias Wallin; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Sammanfattning : Additive manufacturing (AM) is a versatile manufacturing process which is gaining popularity in the automotive and aerospace industries. Through AM one can manufacture complex structures and combined with topology optimization (TO) a powerful design tool that provides great freedom in geometric form emerges. LÄS MER

  4. 19. Topology Optimization for Additive Manufacturing Involving High-Cycle Fatigue

    Författare :Shyam Suresh; Anders Klarbring; Stefan B Lindström; Carl-Johan Thore; Bo Torstenfelt; Reijo Kouhia; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Sammanfattning : Additive Manufacturing (AM) is gaining popularity in aerospace and automotive industries. This is a versatile manufacturing process, where highly complex structures are fabricated and together with topology optimization, a powerful design tool, it shares the property of providing a very large freedom in geometrical form.
