6. Self-monitoring av intraocular pressure and its clinical application
Sammanfattning : Purpose: Measuring the intraocular pressure (IOP) is one of the most common ophthalmologic examinations, especially within glaucoma management. An elevated IOP is a major risk factor for the development and progression of glaucoma, and is so far the only modifiable parameter. LÄS MER
7. Unchaining Microservice Chains : Machine Learning Driven Optimization in Cloud Native Systems
Sammanfattning : As the cloud native landscape flourishes, microservices emerge as a central pillar for contemporary software development, enabling agility, resilience, and scalability in modern computing environments. While these modular services promise opportunities, particularly in the transformative ecosystem of 5G and beyond, they also introduce a myriad of complexities. LÄS MER
8. Hand function in rheumatoid arthritis
Sammanfattning : Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is the most common chronic inflammatory rheumatic disease. Involvement of wrist and hand is a characteristic finding and occur at an early stage. Hand function is of great importance in performance of daily activities (ADL).Aims. LÄS MER
9. Applanation Resonance Tonometry for Intraocular Pressure Measurement
Sammanfattning : Elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) is one of the major risk factors for glaucoma. Since glaucoma is a leading cause of blindness, reliable methods for measuring the IOP are important. This doctoral dissertation presents a new method, applanation resonance tonometry (ART), for measurement of IOP. LÄS MER
10. The effects of hand training in patients with Welander distal myopathy and myotonic dystrophy type 1
Sammanfattning : The overall aim was to study and gain knowledge about the effects of hand training on both functional capacity such as hand function and Activities of Daily Living (ADL) in patients with Welander distal myopathy (WDM) and Myotonic dystrophy type 1 (DM1). The thesis comprises three interventional studies regarding the effects of hand training in patients with WDM (Study I) and DM1 (Studies II & IV), and one reliability study (Study III) including test-retest and inter-rater reliability of four hand function testing instruments used in Study IV.
