26. Integral representations of Herglotz-Nevanlinna functions
Sammanfattning : In this thesis, we study integral representations of Herglotz-Nevanlinna functions, that is to say holomorphic functions defined on a product of several copies of the complex upper half-plane having non-negative imaginary part. The manuscript is divided into three parts, beginning with a general introduction followed by two papers. LÄS MER
27. Boundary values of plurisubharmonic functions and related topics
Sammanfattning : This thesis consists of three papers concerning problems related to plurisubharmonic functions on bounded hyperconvex domains, in particular boundary values of such functions. The papers summarized in this thesis are:* Paper I Urban Cegrell and Berit Kemppe, Monge-Ampère boundary measures, Ann. Polon. Math. LÄS MER
28. Distance Functions and Image Processing on Point-Lattices : with focus on the 3D face- and body-centered cubic grids
Sammanfattning : There are many imaging techniques that generate three-dimensional volume images today. With higher precision in the image acquisition equipment, storing and processing these images require increasing amount of data processing capacity. Traditionally, three-dimensional images are represented by cubic (or cuboid) picture elements on a cubic grid. LÄS MER
29. Macroalgae in tropical seascapes : regulating factors and functions in the coastal ecosystem
Sammanfattning : Although macroalgae usually are inconspicuous on pristine coral reefs, they often thrive on reefs that are subjected to various types of anthropogenic disturbance. This thesis consists of five papers and investigates how biomass and composition of macroalgal communities on coral reefs are affected by regulating factors, such as nutrient availability, herbivory, substrate availability and hydrodynamic forces. 30. Attention and Self-regulation in Infancy and Toddlerhood : The Early Development of Executive Functions and Effortful Control
Sammanfattning : Executive functions are higher-order cognitive functions underlying self-regulation of behavior. That is, executive functions make it possible to resolve internal conflicts and behave according to future goals rather than acting on sudden impulses or going on automatic. LÄS MER
