    Sammanfattning : Although macroalgae usually are inconspicuous on pristine coral reefs, they often thrive on reefs that are subjected to various types of anthropogenic disturbance. This thesis consists of five papers and investigates how biomass and composition of macroalgal communities on coral reefs are affected by regulating factors, such as nutrient availability, herbivory, substrate availability and hydrodynamic forces.     Sammanfattning : Bruton's agammaglobulinemia tyrosine kinase (Btk) is a cytoplasmic tyrosine kinase-related to the Src family of kinases.     Sammanfattning : Peripheral tolerance is regulated by different types of regulatory T cells, including CD1-restricted T cells and CD4+CD25+ regulatory T (Treg) cells. This thesis has focused on the interactions between T cells and antigen presenting cells (APCs) and the immunregulatory function of TGF-b as two important factors regulating differentiation and activation of T cells in the periphery.
