    Sammanfattning : Hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) are irreplaceable in attaining sustainable development in contemporary society. Owing to the extra degree of freedom in supplying traction power, HEVs resort to appropriate energy management strategies (EMSs) to present their superiority over conventional internal combustion engine vehicles and pure electric vehicles. 2. 17. Investigation of the Freeze-Thawing Process for Pharmaceutical Formulations of a Model Protein

    Författare :Anna Hillgren; Jörgen Tegenfeldt; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Pharmacy; FARMACI; PHARMACY; FARMACI; Physical and Inorganic Pharmaceutical Chemistry; fysikalisk och oorganisk farmaceutisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : Recent advances in recombinant DNA technology have resulted in a great number of proteins with a potential to enter pharmaceutical formulations. The most commonly used method for preparing protein pharmaceuticals is by freeze-drying. LÄS MER

  3. 18. Quality of Frozen Rainbow Trout. Effects of different freezing and thawing treatments

    Författare :Katarina Nilsson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; membrane disintegration; liquid loss; centrifuged tissue fluid; fish; lysosomal enzyme; frozen storage; glazing; freezing; sensory quality; rainbow trout; thawing;

    Sammanfattning : The effects of different freezing, frozen storage and thawing treatments on the muscle tissue of farmed rainbow trout (Oncorhychus mykiss) were studied. Biochemical measurements were correlated to sensory estimated quality changes. The freezing process affects the proteins, the lipid fractions and the membrane structures in the fish muscle. LÄS MER

  4. 19. Analytical methods for biomolecules involved in atmospheric aerosol formation in the Arctic

    Författare :Farshid Mashayekhy Rad; Ulrika Nilsson; Caroline Leck; Leopold Ilag; Peter Haglund; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Analytical Chemistry; analytisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : In the Arctic, increasing ice-free conditions and nutrients freed from the melting ice must strongly influence the marine life. Aerosol emissions from microbiological marine processes may affect the low clouds and fogs over the summer Arctic, which in turn have effects on the melting of sea ice. LÄS MER

  5. 20. The Arctic Atmosphere : Interactions between clouds, boundary-layer turbulence and large-scale circulation

    Författare :Georgia Sotiropoulou; Michael Tjernström; Joseph Sedlar; Susanne Crewell; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Arctic; mixed-phase clouds; thermodynamic structure; Arctic inversion; cloud-surface interactions; seasonal transition; IFS model; LES; atmosfärvetenskap och oceanografi; Atmospheric Sciences and Oceanography;

    Sammanfattning : Arctic climate is changing fast, but weather forecast and climate models have serious deficiencies in representing the Arctic atmosphere, because of the special conditions that occur in this region. The cold ice surface and the advection of warm air aloft from the south result in a semi-continuous presence of a temperature inversion, known as the “Arctic inversion”, which is governed by interacting large-scale and local processes, such as surface fluxes and cloud formation.
