21. Monitoring and Control of Robotized Laser Metal-Wire Deposition
Sammanfattning : The thesis gives a number of solutions towards full automation of the promising manufacturing technology Robotized Laser Metal-wire Deposition (RLMwD). RLMwD offers great cost and weight saving potentials in the manufacturing industry. LÄS MER
22. Charge transport in polymer-based insulating materials for high voltage applications: effect of single- and multi-layered structures
Sammanfattning : Polymer composites have been widely employed as electrical insulating materials for high voltage components and devices such as power cables, gas-insulated systems, rotating machines, line and post insulators, etc. Such materials are usually made by introducing inorganic oxides (SiO2, TiO2, Al2O3, MgO) into polymeric matrices e.g. LÄS MER
23. Textile electrodes for ECG measurements in distributed care, performance and applications
Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis work has been to explore textile electrodes for electrocardiographic (ECG) measurements both in terms of their electrode properties and possibility to further improve their robustness to noise with signal processing techniques. Previous research within the field has shown that acquisition of ECG is possible with textile electrodes, but little attention has been focused on how they function and especially if movements are included in the measurement protocol. 24. Resource Allocation in Airborne Surveillance Radar
Sammanfattning : Radars equipped with an Electronically Scanned Antenna (ESA) have the potential of directing the electromagnetic radar beam without mechanically adjusting the antenna. Furthermore, the beam can be redirected instantaneously towards any location in space. LÄS MER
25. Correlations of Higher Order in Networks of Spiking Neurons
Sammanfattning : The topic of this dissertation is the study of the emergence of higher-order correlations in recurrentlyconnected populations of brain cells.Neurons have been experimentally shown to form vast networks in the brain. LÄS MER
