  1. 1. Electrical Characterization of Partial Discharge Resistant Enamel Insulation

    Författare :Tuan Anh Hoang; Chalmers University of Technology; []
    Nyckelord :Enamel wire insulation; dipolar polarization; charge injection; charge transport; chromium oxide; dc conductivity; partial discharge; twisted pair.; dielectric permittivity;

    Sammanfattning : Adjustable speed drives for rotating machines have become increasingly popular as they provide possibilities of smooth and accurate process control as well as for energy savings. In such systems, due to the fact that the voltage applied at terminals of motor windings is no longer purely sinusoidal but characterized by a high content of harmonics, the appearing electrical and thermal stresses yield premature failures of the winding insulation, mainly because of an increased partial discharge (PD) activity. 2. 2. Charge transport in polymer-based insulating materials for high voltage applications: effect of single- and multi-layered structures

    Författare :Tuan Anh Hoang; Chalmers University of Technology; []

    Sammanfattning : Polymer composites have been widely employed as electrical insulating materials for high voltage components and devices such as power cables, gas-insulated systems, rotating machines, line and post insulators, etc. Such materials are usually made by introducing inorganic oxides (SiO2, TiO2, Al2O3, MgO) into polymeric matrices e.g. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Partial discharges studied by dielectric response method

    Författare :Xiangdong Xu; Chalmers University of Technology; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; frequency domain spectroscopy; AWIS; partial discharge excess current; dielectric characterization; partial discharge; non-PD excess current;

    Sammanfattning : The increasing demand of integrating various renewable energy recourses in power system requires extensive use of power electronic solutions, which allows energy conversion between different frequencies and stabilizes the system. Consequently, other than the traditional 50/60 Hz sinusoidal voltage stresses act on the high voltage insulation systems. LÄS MER
