Sammanfattning : Energy consumption in the world has increased continuously due to a growing population and increased energy consumption per capita. Moreover, the largest part of consumed energy still comes from fossil sources which in 2016 was more than 130 PWh. LÄS MER
Sammanfattning : This thesis proposes several novel silicon carbide power module design concepts. The goal has been to address the problems with the present designs. The electrical, thermal, and thermomechanical performances of the demonstrators have been evaluated along with presentations of methodologies of experimental and numerical characterizations.
4. Dynamic analysis of a novel electromagnetic transducer for hybrid vehicle and experimental verification
Sammanfattning : This thesis presents the results of the work carried out on the dynamic analysis and experimental performance measurements of a novel concept of electromagnetic system for hybrid vehicle powertrains. The main focus of this work is to present how this novel electromagnetic system can be operated in a hybrid vehicle and to show how a prototype of this system has succesfully been operated in a laboratory set-up. 5. A Permanent Magnet Traction Motor for Electric Forklifts : Design and Iron Loss Analysis with Experimental Verifications
Sammanfattning : This thesis presents the design analysis of a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) for the traction application in electric forklifts. Within the scope of the study, an existing induction traction motor for electric forklifts benchmarks the expected performances of the proposed PMSM designs, as design specifications. LÄS MER
