  1. 1. Electromagnetic characterization of power electronic systems

    Författare :Mathias Enohnyaket; Mats Alaküla; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Industriell elektronik; Industrial Electronics;

    Sammanfattning : Propelled by increased global awareness and demand for clean energy systems, there is a growing trend in transportation, utility, industrial, and residential applications towards the utilisation of power electronic systems with enhanced power ow controllability and eciency. Examples of power electronics applications include terminal converters in high-voltage direct Current (HVDC) transmission; exible AC transmission systems (FACTS); and converters to interface alternative energy systems such as wind turbines to the grid, variable-speed motor drives in pump systems, vehicular propulsion systems, air-conditioners, and refrigerators. Författare :Arash Edvin Risseh; Hans-Peter Nee; Torbjörn Thiringer; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Thermoelectricity; Power converter; Silicon Carbide; MOSFET; Power management; Thermoelectric generator; Renewable energy; Vehicle; Power electronic; Waste heat; Ultra-low inductance; Power module; Termoelektrisk energiomvandling; Kiselkarbid MOSFET; Effektomvandlare; Förnybar energikälla; Effektelektronik; Spillvärme; Effektmodul; Låg induktiv module; Electrical Engineering; Elektro- och systemteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Energy consumption in the world has increased continuously due to a growing population and increased energy consumption per capita. Moreover, the largest part of consumed energy still comes from fossil sources which in 2016 was more than 130 PWh. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Modeling, Control and Protection of Low-Voltage DC Microgrids

    Författare :Daniel Salomonsson; Lennart Söder; Brian K. Johnsson; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; circuit transient analysis; dc power systems; dispersed storage and generation; load modeling; power conversion; power distribution control; power distribution faults; power distribution protection; power electronics; Electric power engineering; Elkraftteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Current trends in electric power consumption indicate an increasing use of dc in end-user equipment, such as computers and other electronic appliances used in households and offices. With a dc power system, ac/dc conversion within these loads can be avoided, and losses reduced. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Power-generation, Power-electronics and Power-systems issues of Power Converters for Photovoltaic Applications

    Författare :Björn Lindgren; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; power systems; bang-bang control; shading tolerance; power quality; photovoltaic; embedded generation; current control; solar power generation;

    Sammanfattning : The thesis deals with issues related to solar energy systems, or more specifically, the electric systems of photovoltaic (PV) installations. Initially aspects of planning and estimating the performance of a PV-installation are considered. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Automating Power Quality Analysis

    Författare :Emmanouil Styvaktakis; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; pattern classification; expert systems; induction motors; power system transients; voltage dips; power system faults; power quality; Kalman filtering; power system monitoring; transformer saturation; short time Fourier transform;

    Sammanfattning : The increased requirements on supervision, control, and performance in modern power systems make power quality monitoring a common practise for utilities. Large databases are created and automatic processing of the data is required for fast and effective use of the available information. LÄS MER
