  2. 2. Efficient Modeling of Modular Multilevel Converters for HVDC Transmission Systems

    Författare :Noman Ahmed; Hans-Peter Nee; Tim Green; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; High-Voltage dc; Modular Multilevel Converter; Voltage-Source Converter; HVDC Grids; Multiterminal DC Systems; Hybrid HVDC Breaker; Modeling; Electrical Engineering; Elektro- och systemteknik;

    Sammanfattning : The drive towards getting more and more electrical energy from renewable sources, requires more efficient electric transmission systems. A stronger grid, with more controllability and higher capacity, that can handle power fluctuations due to a mismatch between generation and load is also needed. LÄS MER

  3. 3. High Frequency (MHz) Planar Transformers for Next Generation Switch Mode Power Supplies

    Författare :Radhika Ambatipudi; Kent Bertilsson; Bengt Oelmann; Jesus Doval Gandoy; Hans-Peter Nee; Torbjörn Thiringer; Göran Thungström; Mittuniversitetet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Planar Magnetics; DC-DC Converters; Switch Mode Power Supplies; MHz Frequency Region;

    Sammanfattning : Increasing the power density of power electronic converters while reducing or maintaining the same cost, offers a higher potential to meet the current trend inrelation to various power electronic applications. High power density converters can be achieved by increasing the switching frequency, due to which the bulkiest parts, such as transformer, inductors and the capacitor's size in the convertercircuit can be drastically reduced. 4. 4. Control, Modulation and Implementation of Modular Multilevel Converters

    Författare :Antonios Antonopoulos; Hans-Peter Nee; Colin Oates; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Modular Multilevel Converter; Modulation; Feedback Control; Open-Loop Control; Implementation; Prototype; High-Performance Motor Drives; Electrical engineering; electronics and photonics; Elektroteknik; elektronik och fotonik;

    Sammanfattning : Denna avhandling behandlar analys och styrning av den modulära multinivå omvandlaren (M2C). M2C är en lovande omvandlarteknologi för högspända högeffekttillämpningar. Anledningen till detta är låg distorsion i utstorheterna kan uppnås med låg  medelswitchfrekvens per switch och utan utgångsfilter. LÄS MER
