1. Dynamic analysis of a novel electromagnetic transducer for hybrid vehicle and experimental verification
Sammanfattning : This thesis presents the results of the work carried out on the dynamic analysis and experimental performance measurements of a novel concept of electromagnetic system for hybrid vehicle powertrains. The main focus of this work is to present how this novel electromagnetic system can be operated in a hybrid vehicle and to show how a prototype of this system has succesfully been operated in a laboratory set-up. 2. Electrical Machine Development : a study of four different machine types from Swedish perspective
Sammanfattning : Development and manufacturing of rotating electrical machines have been essential for the Swedish society and industry for more than a century. The dominating manufacturer has been Asea/ABB, even if a more diversified structure has emerged in recent years. LÄS MER
3. Design and Control of Electrically Excited Synchronous Machines for Vehicle Applications
Sammanfattning : Electrically excited synchronous machines (EESMs) are becoming an alternative to permanent magnet synchronous machines (PMSMs) in electric vehicles (EVs). This mainly attributes to the zero usage of rare-earth materials, as well as the ability to achieve high starting torque, the effectiveness to do field weakening and the flexibility to adjust power factor provided by EESMs. LÄS MER
4. FEM Analysis Applied to Electric Machines for Electric Vehicles
Sammanfattning : Electric vehicle technology is an interdisciplinary field in continuous development. It appears to be a margin for improvements. The Division for Electricity at Uppsala University is doing significant research in the field. The present thesis investigates electric machines for vehicular applications, both in the driveline and in the traction motor. LÄS MER
5. Investigation of Issues Related to Electrical Efficiency Improvements of Pump and Fan Drives in Buildings
Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with issues related to efficiency of building related pump and fan drive systems. Different motor technologies are analyzed and a more detailed study oninverter fed Induction Machines (IM) is presented. LÄS MER
