Sammanfattning : Fertility treatment with gonadotrophins in infertile clomiphene resistant women with the polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is troublesome with an unpredictive ovarian response. The purpose of this study was to elucidate aspects of ovarian sensitivity and to evaluate treatment efficiency and costs of ovulation induction (OI) and in vitro fertilisation (IVF), as well as pregnancy outcome after infertility treatment in patients with PCOS. Sammanfattning : Background: An estimated 2-3 million women globally and majorly in sub-Saharan Africa and Asia, suffer from genital fistula with an annual incidence of 50,000-100,000 women. Uganda like other low-income countries is not an exception and has an estimated fistula prevalence of 2%, with western Uganda having the highest prevalence of 4% among females aged 15-49 years. Experimental Evidence from Safe Water Sources in Bangladesh We exploit the random assignment of communities selected to receive a safe drinking water program to various contribution requirements: cash, labor or no requirement to contribute.
