  1. 1. On maintenance optimization for offshore wind farms

    Författare :Francois Besnard; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; life cycle cost; optimization; maintenance; maintenance planning; Offshore wind energy; maintenance strategy; maintenance support organization; reliability;

    Sammanfattning : The maintenance cost is known to be an important part of the levelized cost of energy generated by wind parks. Operational costs can be significantly reduced by optimizing decisions for maintenance strategies, maintenance support organization and maintenance planning. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Reforming a publicly owned monopoly : costs and incentives in railway maintenance

    Författare :Kristofer Odolinski; Jan-Eric Nilsson; Andrew Smith; Lars Hultkrantz; Marc Ivaldi; Örebro universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Railway track; Maintenance; Contract; Incentive reward ; Competition; Cost; Quality; Economic efficiency; J01 Railway: Railway track; J01 Railway: Railway track; J13 Railway: Economics; J13 Railway: Economics; Economics;

    Sammanfattning : The railway system is often considered to be an industry where a monopoly occurs “naturally”, which can explain the public ownership and the use of regulations. However, railways in Europe have been subject to reforms during the last three decades. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Continuous Preventive Bridge Maintenance : Effect of High Pressure Washing on Concrete Bridges

    Författare :Louise Andersson; Johan Silfwerbrand; Anders Selander; Ylva Edwards; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Bridge maintenance; preventive maintenance; chloride ingress; high-pressure washing; Concrete Structures; Betongbyggnad;

    Sammanfattning : In Sweden, as in many other countries, preventive maintenance of structures andbridges is considered important. It provides several benefits such as prolonged lifespan or service life, less need for repair, and hopefully reduced costs and lowerenvironmental impact.A large part of Sweden’s bridge stock is getting quite old. 4. 4. Two-Level Multi-Objective Genetic Algorithm for Risk-Based Life Cycle Cost Analysis

    Författare :Yamur K. Al-Douri; Uday Kumar; Jan Lundberg; Hussan Hamodi; Ahmed Al-Dubai; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Artificial intelligence AI ; Life cycle cost LCC ; Machine learning ML ; Multi-objective genetic algorithm MOGA ; Risk-based life cycle cost LCC ; Tunnel fans; Two-level system; Operation and Maintenance Engineering; Drift och underhållsteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Artificial intelligence (AI) is one of the fields in science and engineering and encompasses a wide variety of subfields, ranging from general areas (learning and perception) to specific topics, such as mathematical theorems. AI and, specifically, multi-objective genetic algorithms (MOGAs) for risk-based life cycle cost (LCC) analysis should be performed to estimate the optimal replacement time of tunnel fan systems, with a view towards reducing the ownership cost and the risk cost and increasing company profitability from an economic point of view. 5. 5. Data-driven models for railway track geometry maintenance

    Författare :Hamid Khajehei; Alireza Ahmadi; John Andrews; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Data-driven models; degradation; maintenance; tamping; track geometry; planning and scheduling; railway infrastructure; Drift och underhållsteknik; Operation and Maintenance;

    Sammanfattning : Railways are currently experiencing higher demands on safety, infrastructure performance, network capacity and service quality, etc. As a result, a high level of track availability, service quality and infrastructure robustness against unexpected events is required, at reduced cost, to meet the demands.
