  1. 1. Well Testing, Methods and Applicability

    Författare :Jan-Erik Rosberg; Teknisk geologi; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; slug tests; well completion; re-injection; Well testing; pumping tests; injection tests; well development; pneumatic initiation; hydro-jetting; coiled tubing; tunnel lining; deep wells;

    Sammanfattning : Well testing is widely used today in water wells, oil and gas wells, for geothermal applications, within civil engineering projects, thermal storage and CO2 storage. The overall testing goal is to verify the productivity from a well and/or for characterization of hydraulic and thermal properties, as well as the spatial limitations of an aquifer. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Hydrogeological Methods in Geotechnical Engineering: Applied to settlements caused by underground construction

    Författare :Jenny Persson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; excavation; tunnel; hydrogeology; consolidation; pumping test; Groundwater; inflow rate; settlement; transmissivity; pore pressure; clay;

    Sammanfattning : Improvement in the infrastructure in urban areas generally involves underground construction with tunneling and deep excavations. One important consideration when constructing in cities founded on soft soil is settlement resulting from groundwater drawdown. The potential cost of excessive settlement in these projects is immense. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Capillary-based platforms for diagnostics are popular for the point-of-care diagnostics market because of their low cost, easy fabrication, and easy operation. Lateral flow tests are an excellent example of capillary-based platforms for point-of-care diagnostics. LÄS MER

  4. 4. On Fluid Power Pump and Motor Design : Tools for Noise Reduction

    Författare :Liselott Ericson; Jan-Ove Palmberg; Kalevi Huhtala; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Noise and vibration are two of the main drawbacks with fluid power  systems. The increasing requirements concerning working environment as well as machines' impact on surroundings put components and systems to harder tests. The surrounding machines, e.g. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Excess pore water pressure generation in fine granular materials under cyclic loading -A laboratory study

    Författare :Tan Manh Do; Jan Laue; M. Kubilay Kelesoglu; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Excess pore water pressure; migration of particles; fine granular materials; cyclic loading; Soil Mechanics; Geoteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Abstract Excess pore water pressure can be generated in subgrades of both railway and pavement sub-structures under cyclic loading caused by heavy traffic. When saturated subgrades are subjected to cyclic loading, excess pore water pressures accumulate over time which then could lead to migration of particles into overlying layers. LÄS MER
