22. Statistics on local drug sales: A tool to identify problem areas and to follow effects of education on drug use
Sammanfattning : Aims: 1) To assess if drug sales data indicate differences in morbidity, mortality, socio-economic conditions and deviating prescribing habits among physicians; 2) to identify areas for educational interventions and to analyse changes in prescribing after educational activities. In addition, an effort was made to estimate differences between pharmacy sales and purchases by the population, and the amount and value of unused drugs returned to pharmacies. LÄS MER

24. Improving Parton Showers with Fixed Order Matrix Elements
Sammanfattning : This thesis considers numerical simulations of high energy particle collisions, and improvements in the description of multiple collimated jets of hadrons in collision events in particular. In the event simulation software called event generators, the structure of multi-jet events is determined through an interplay of the input calculation, parton showers and phenomenological hadronisation models. 25. State Learning and Role Playing : International environmental cooperation in the Arctic Council
Sammanfattning : This study investigates state interaction as a social learning process, where the ultimate aim is to enhance an understanding on how states learn of environmental norms. An entry into the domain on such learning processes is offered through a Constructivist approach and more specifically through the employment of a role theoretical perspective; a role here is signified as a state's repertory of behavior and its social position within a group.
