16. Hydrogels of conjugated polyelectrolytes for biosensor and biochip applications
Sammanfattning : This thesis describes the use of conjugated polyelectrolytes (CPEs) in biosensor devices. The method is based on non-covalent assembly of the biomolecule of interest and the CPE functioning as the reporter, in one case as a transducer, of biomolecular events. LÄS MER
17. Molecular recognition in the solid state : crystal structure studies of selected inclusion compounds of host molecules with roof-shaped skeleton
Sammanfattning : This survey presents the results of single-crystal X-ray diffraction investigations of nine selected organic heteromolecular complexes in terms of the molecular recognition concept. The host molecules of the studied inclusion compounds have the 9,10-dihydro-9,10-ethanoanthracene moiety in common, to which various sensor groups possessing both proton donor and acceptor abilities are attached. 18. Fast Dynamic Processes in Solution Studied by NMR Spectroscopy
Sammanfattning : Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy is capable to deliver a detailed information about the dynamics on molecular level in a wide range of time scales, especially if accompanied by suitably chosen theoretical tools. In this work, we employed a set of high-resolution NMR techniques to investigate dynamics processes in several weakly interacting molecular systems in solution. LÄS MER
19. Specificity of antisense oligonucleotide derivatives and cellular delivery by cell-penetrating peptides
Sammanfattning : Atypical gene expression has a major influence on the disease profile of several severe human disorders. Oligonucleotide (ON) based therapeutics has opened an avenue for compensating deviant protein expression by acting on biologically important nucleic acids, mainly RNAs. LÄS MER
20. In vitro characterization of nanodrugs at model lipid membranes
Sammanfattning : The use of nano-sized drug carriers to improve the efficiency of drug delivery has become well established during the past decades. New nanoparticle (NP) formulations for the administration of biopharmaceuticals (e.g. proteins and peptides) emerge at an increasing rate and the need for methods to evaluate their properties is expanding.
