  1. 11. On some Numerical Methods and Solution Techniques for Incompressible Flow Problems

    Författare :Xin He; Maya Neytcheva; Zhong-Zhi Bai; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Beräkningsvetenskap med inriktning mot numerisk analys; Scientific Computing with specialization in Numerical Analysis;

    Sammanfattning : The focus of this work is on numerical solution methods for solving the incompressible Navier-Stokes equations, which consist of a set of coupled nonlinear partial differential equations.In general, after linearization and finite element discretization in space, the original nonlinear problem is converted into finding the solutions of a sequence of linear systems of equations. 3. 13. Signal Shaping and Sampling-based Measurement Techniques for Improved Radio Frequency Systems

    Författare :Charles Nader; Peter Händel; Niclas Björsell; Wendy Van Moer; Lee Barford; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Sammanfattning : Wireless communication systems are omnipresent in our day-to-day life, with high expectations regarding capacity, reliability and power efficiency. In order to satisfy the capacity and reliability expectations, today's wireless systems are adopting sophisticated modulation schemes, such as orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM), which shape today's wireless signals with large bandwidths and high crest factors. 4. 14. Linear Transmitter Design Using Nonlinear Analog Circuits

    Författare :Bo Shi; Institutionen för elektro- och informationsteknik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Telecommunication engineering; Elektronik och elektroteknik; Electronics and Electrical technology; BiCMOS.; CMOS; ASIC; Radio-frequency circuits; Translinear circuits; RF power amplifier linearization; Linear transmitter; Nonlinear analog circuits; Telekommunikationsteknik;

    Sammanfattning : This dissertation deals with analog techniques at both the architecture and circuit design levels for designing power efficient linear radio-frequency (RF) transmitters. The use of nonlinear analog integrated circuits to implement certain critical signal processing functions for the multiplicative feedback and LINC techniques is investigated with the aim of improving the system performance in terms of complexity, linearity and power efficiency. 5. 15. Linearity Enhancements of Receiver Front-end Circuits for Wireless Communication

    Författare :Mohammed Abdulaziz; Institutionen för elektro- och informationsteknik; []
    Nyckelord :CMOS; receivers; operational transconductance amplifiers; filtering; channel select filters; stability; low noise amplifiers; linearization; carrier aggregation; spectrum sensing;

    Sammanfattning : Technology scaling in advanced CMOS nodes has been very successful in reducing the cost and increasing the operating frequency, however, it has also resulted in reduced transistor intrinsic gain and increased thermal noise coefficient, and most importantly, deteriorated linearity performance. At the same time, advanced wireless communication standards offer ever increasing data rates and pose more stringent requirements on coexistence, leading to very stringent linearity requirements.
