  1. 11. Ecology of parasitoids and their hosts in oilseed rape fields

    Författare :Josef Berger; Biodiversitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; parasitoids; herbivores; oilseed rape; pollen beetle; cabbage stem weevil; parasitoid community; niche separation; landscape scale; community composition; landscape configuration; Species abundance distribution SAD models; dispersal; metacommunity;

    Sammanfattning : Oilseed rape fields are a very common crop in the agricultural landscape of southern Sweden, and they can harbour surprisingly many insect species. Some of them are herbivores that feed on various parts of the oilseed rape plant, others are natural enemies of the herbivores, and even more species are tourists from the surrounding landscape. 2. 12. The long-term decline of the grey-sided vole (Clethrionomys rufocanus) in boreal Sweden: importance of focal forest patch and matrix

    Författare :Pernilla Christensen; Birger Hörnfeldt; Rolf A. Ims; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; : Destructive sampling; high quality habitat; focal habitat; landscape; habitat fragmentation; threshold; clear-cut; patch size and quality; long-term time-series; Terrestrial ecology; Terrestisk ekologi;

    Sammanfattning : There has been a long-term decline in number of cyclic vole populations in boreal Sweden since the 1970s. Several hypotheses have been suggested to explain this decline. Commonly for C. glareolus, C. LÄS MER

  3. 13. The role of microclimate for the performance and distribution of forest plants

    Författare :C. Johan Dahlberg; Kristoffer Hylander; Johan Ehrlén; Jason D. Fridley; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; performance; microclimate; spatial scales; continental; landscape; distribution patterns; distribution limits; phenology; vegetative development; reproductive development; vital rates; population growth rate; vascular plants; bryophytes; distribution modelling; Plant Ecology; växtekologi;

    Sammanfattning : Microclimatic gradients may have large influence on individual vital rates and population growth rates of species, and limit their distributions. Therefore, I focused on the influence of microclimate on individual performance and distribution of species. LÄS MER

  4. 14. Seed mobility and connectivity in changing rural landscapes

    Författare :Alistair G. Auffret; Sara Cousins; Robin Pakeman; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Biodiversity; Conservation; Functional connectivity; Historical ecology; Human-mediated dispersal; Invasive species; Landscape Ecology; Long-distance dispersal; Restoration; Seed bank; Seed dispersal; Seed rain; Structural connectivity; Physical Geography; naturgeografi;

    Sammanfattning : The success or failure of many organisms to respond to the challenges of habitat destruction and a warming climate lies in the ability of plant species to disperse between isolated habitats or to migrate to new ranges. European semi-natural grasslands represent one of the world's most species-rich habitats at small scales, but agricultural intensification during the 20th century has meant that many plant species are left only on small fragments of former habitat. 5. 15. Spatial and temporal ecology of oak-associated fungal communities

    Författare :Maria Faticov; Ayco Tack; Peter Hambäck; Paula Baptista; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; abiotic and biotic forces; climate warming; community ecology; foliar fungal community; host genotype; plant microbiome; powdery mildew; seasonal dynamics; warming-by-genotype interaction; Quercus robur; soil fungal community; spatial patterns; ekologi och evolution; Ecology and Evolution;

    Sammanfattning : Plants host a large diversity of microorganisms, which includes fungi, bacteria and archaea. Among these, fungi are highly diverse, and known to play a vital role in plant health and in regulation of the essential ecosystem functions. LÄS MER
