31. "Den nödvändiga grunden" : underkännanden och erkännanden under lärarutbildningens verksamhetsförlagda delar
Sammanfattning : The thesis builds on how contemporary policy documents express an interest in gatekeeping and in controlling teacher competence, for instance in the form of aptitude tests before teacher education or during practicum in teacher education. The thesis is hence characterised by a general interest in teacher competence and what in the governmental official report SOU 2008:109 is referred to as “the essential basis” in terms of teacher competence – a metaphor that serves as a key notion in the thesis. 32. Neutrophil extracellular traps : function in infectious and non-Infectious conditions
Sammanfattning : Neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) are composed of a backbone of chromatin, decorated with microbicidal peptides and proteolytic enzymes, and are used by neutrophils as a weapon against pathogens. Since their initial discovery in 2004, NETs have challenged scientists in terms of the nature of the triggers and the mechanisms of neutrophil release of NETs, as well as the implication of these extracellular structures in infectious and non-infectious human diseases. 33. The initial phase of the sodium bisulfite pulping of softwood dissolving pulp
Sammanfattning : The sulfite pulping process is today practised in only a small number of pulp mills around the globe and the number of sulfite mills that use sodium as the base (cation) is less than five. However, due to the increasing interest in the wood based biorefinery concept, the benefits of sulfite pulping and especially the sodium based variety, has recently gained a lot of interest. LÄS MER
34. Phase Distribution of Mixed Biopolymer Gels in Relation to Process Conditions
Sammanfattning : The influence of various process parameters on the microstructure and rheological properties of pure and mixed gels of gelatin and whey proteins has been investigated. Gelatin is a cold-set protein and whey proteins are a group of thermo-set globular proteins. Depending on the charge present, whey proteins can form two types of gel structures. LÄS MER
35. Some Aspects of Improving Initial Filling Conditions and Steel Cleanliness by Flow Pattern Control Using a Swirling Flow in the Uphill Teeming Process
Sammanfattning : The flow pattern has widely been recognized to have an impact on the exogenous non-metallic inclusion generation in the gating system and mold flux entrapment in the uphill teeming process. Thus, a well-controlled flow pattern during the teeming process can improve the quality of ingots and further increase the yield during steel production. LÄS MER
