  1. 1. Fluorescence as a biological feedback signal for energy optimising spectra for greenhouse LED-illumination

    Författare :Linnéa Ahlman; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Fluorescence; Photosynthesis; Automatic control; Greenhouse illumination; LED lighting; Spectrum optimisation;

    Sammanfattning : The introduction of LED-lighting for greenhouses has enabled new ways of controlling the light, both spectrum and intensity, to save energy and increase crop production. We have investigated a new method of automatically tuning the spectrum based on biological feedback. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Chlorophyll fluorescence as a biological feedback signal -for optimized plant growth conditions and stress diagnosis

    Författare :Linnéa Ahlman; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; cucumber; indoor farming; abiotic stress; Fluorescence gain; ESC; biotic stress; basil; dynamics; strawberries; light spectrum; greenhouse lighting control; lettuce; powdery mildew Podosphaera aphanis; Pythium ultimum; LED; classification; lemon balm;

    Sammanfattning : The use of light emitting diodes (LEDs) instead of traditional high pressure sodium lamps, in greenhouses and indoor growing facilities, enables tuning and optimization of both light intensity and light spectrum. This opens for an energy saving potential not possible otherwise. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Luminescence Spectroscopy For Biomedical Applications

    Sammanfattning : This work presents optical methods utilizing visible light for characterization of biological tissue during diagnostics and treatment processes. The main aim has been to improve the therapeutic outcome of treatment modalities in in vivo studies. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Inhibition of the MDM2/p53 Interaction Design, Synthesis and Evaluation of MDM2 Inhibitors

    Författare :Mariell Pettersson; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Protein-protein interactionProtein-protein interaction; MDM2 p53 interaction; MDM2 inhibitors; α- helix mimetics; β-hairpin; 2; 5-diketopiperazine; spiro-2; 5-diketopiperazine; purine; 8- triazolyl purine; solution conformational analysis; NAMFIS; fluorescence;

    Sammanfattning : Numerous essential cellular processes are regulated by protein-protein interactions (PPIs) and PPIs have therefore been recognised as potential new drug targets. The transcription factor p53 is often referred to as the guardian of the genome due to its involvement in DNA repair, induction of cell cycle arrest and cellular apoptosis. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Alkylglucosides - physical chemical properties

    Författare :Frederik Nilsson; Fysikalisk kemi; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; penetration experiment; DSC; SAXS; NMR self-diffusion; phase separation; size micro-structure; aggregate-aggregate interaction; liquid crystalline phases; micelles; alkylglucosides; phase diagrams; fluorescence.; Physical chemistry; Fysikalisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : The aim of this study is to characterise the physical-chemical properties of alkylglucosides. Alkylglucosides are non-ionic surfactants synthesized from glucose and a fatty alcohol. The glucose molecule constitutes the hydrophilic head group and the fatty alcohol constitutes the hydrophobic tail. LÄS MER
