  1. 36. Mechanisms of adhesive mixing for drug particle inhalation (Numerical investigation of the interplay between formulation variables)

    Författare :Mohammadreza Tamadondar; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Discrete Element Method; Agglomerate; Carrier Particle; Adhesive mixing; Dispersion; DPI-formulation;

    Sammanfattning : Formulation of therapeutic dry powders for lung drug delivery via inhalation is done via adhesive mixing. In this process, micron-sized active pharmaceutical ingredient particles are blended with relatively coarse carrier particles until stable adhesive units of carrier and drug particles are formed. 2. 37. Cellulose–Assisted Dispersion of Carbon Nanotubes : From Colloids to Composites

    Författare :Alireza Hajian; Lars Berglund; Milo Shaffer; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Nanocelluloses; Carbon nanotubes; Composites; Colloids; Fiber- och polymervetenskap; Fibre and Polymer Science;

    Sammanfattning : It is a challenge to disperse nanoparticles to obtain a nanostructured composite. This thesis aims at providing a new route to fabricate carbon nanotube (CNT) composites and suggests mechanisms for nanocellulose–CNT interactions. This route is based on unmodified CNT dispersed in water with the help of nanocellulose. LÄS MER

  3. 38. Changing population distribution in Sweden : long term trends and contemporary tendencies

    Författare :Johan Håkansson; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Population distribution; redistribution; Sweden; geographical levels; concentration; dispersion; accessibility; migration; natural population change; age composition;

    Sammanfattning : The aim of the thesis is to describe and analyse the population redistribution in Sweden at different geographical levels from the beginning of the 19th century to the end of the 20th century. The analysis is approached in three different ways. First, the redistribution at different geographical levels is analysed (papers I and II). LÄS MER

  4. 39. A Method for Dispersive Split Hopkinson Pressure Bar Analysis Applied to High Strain Rate Testing of Spruce Wood

    Författare :Svante Widehammar; Karl-Gustav Sundin; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Materials science; split Hopkinson; wave propagation; dispersion; Hamilton s principle; strain rate; calibration; spruce; wood; Materialvetenskap; Materials science; Teknisk materialvetenskap; teknisk fysik med inriktning mot hållfasthetslära; Technical Physics;

    Sammanfattning : En metod för dispersiv analys av försök med delad hopkinsonstång tillämpad på provning av granved vid hög töjningshastighetSyftet var att etablera en metod för att studera sambandet mellan spänning och töjning för granved vid hög töjningshastighet. Detta åstadkoms genom att anpassa och något vidareutveckla tekniken med delad hopkinsonstång ("Split Hopkinson Pressure Bar", SHPB). LÄS MER

  5. 40. Wave Splitting and Effective Boundary Conditions for Structural Elements

    Författare :Martin Johansson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; approximate boundary condition; Mindlin plate; Timoshenko beam; thin plates; cylindrical coordinates; series approximation; wave splitting; dispersion; fluid-loaded plate; Biot;

    Sammanfattning : The subject of this thesis is twofold. The first part concerns the wave splitting of structural elements. The second part concerns approximate boundary conditions for fluid-loaded thin plates. Wave splitting is a mathematical tool for the formulation of scattering problems in the time domain that aims at solving inverse problems, e. LÄS MER
