21. Conservation genomics in inbred Scandinavian wolves using bioinformatic methods
Sammanfattning : With the recent and unprecedented progress in retrieving DNA sequence information from a large number of individuals of any species, conservation genetic research has entered a new phase. Specifically, it has become possible to study how genomes of endangered species respond to reductions in population size. LÄS MER
22. The mast cell transcriptome and the evolution of granule proteins and Fc receptors
Sammanfattning : Protection against disease-causing pathogens, known as immunity, involves numerous cells organs, tissues and their products. To able to understand the biology of immune cells (hematopoietic cells) and their role in an immune system, we have used several different methods, including transcriptome analyses, bioinformatics, production of recombinant proteins and analyses of some of them, focusing on the granule proteases by substrate phage display. 23. ENHEAR : a way of being, a state of mind, a field of enquiry
Sammanfattning : The term Enhear invites an approach to research, art practice, sound studio and world that is comprehensively aural. It proposes listening as both act and role; listening as a present tense, continual and continuous co-creation of the inter-relational spaces we all share. LÄS MER
24. Designing Information Technology for Emergency Response
Sammanfattning : This thesis contributes to our understanding of information technology use in emergency response work and how information technology could be designed to provide support in emergency response work. The work domain of operative emergency response has been studied by extensive ethnographic fieldwork at several different fire and rescue services in Sweden. LÄS MER
25. Retreat pattern and dynamics of glaciers and ice sheets: reconstructions based on meltwater features
Sammanfattning : The pattern of ice marginal retreat during the last deglaciation has, thus far, most frequently been reconstructed using absolute dating methods and landform record. In reconstructions using landform record, meltwater system has most often been neglected. This is predominantly a consequence of the smaller scale of meltwater features. LÄS MER
