1. Sculpted through Time : Evolution and Function of Serine Proteases from the Mast Cell Chymase Locus
Sammanfattning : Immune cells like NK cells, T cells, neutrophils and mast cells store high amounts of granule serine proteases, graspases. Graspases are encoded from the mast cell chymase locus. The human locus holds four genes: α-chymase, cathepsin G, and granzymes H and B. In contrast, the mouse locus contains at least 14 genes. LÄS MER
2. The ABC of KRAB zinc finger proteins
Sammanfattning : All living organisms consist of cells and the identity of a cell is defined by the genes it expresses. To assure proper function, a cell receives continuous information on which genes to turn on and off. This information is, to a large extent, provided by transcription factors. LÄS MER

5. The mast cell transcriptome and the evolution of granule proteins and Fc receptors
Sammanfattning : Protection against disease-causing pathogens, known as immunity, involves numerous cells organs, tissues and their products. To able to understand the biology of immune cells (hematopoietic cells) and their role in an immune system, we have used several different methods, including transcriptome analyses, bioinformatics, production of recombinant proteins and analyses of some of them, focusing on the granule proteases by substrate phage display.
