1. Opportunistic Networking : Congestion, Transfer Ordering and Resilience
Sammanfattning : Opportunistic networks are constructed by devices carried by people and vehicles. The devices use short range radio to communicate. Since the network is mobile and often sparse in terms of node contacts, nodes store messages in their buffers, carrying them, and forwarding them upon node encounters. LÄS MER
2. Molecular Interaction of Thin Film Photosensitive Organic Dyes on TiO2 Surfaces
Sammanfattning : The photosensitive molecule adsorption on titanium dioxide (TiO2) forms the so-called “dye sensitized TiO2” system, a typical organic/oxide heterojunction, which is of great interest in catalysis and energy applications, e.g. dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC). Traditionally, the transition metal complex dyes are the focus of the study. LÄS MER
3. Functional Metal Oxide Materials Deposited by Inkjet Printing Technique
Sammanfattning : This thesis presents a comprehensive study of the intrinsic room temperature ferromagnetism in 85 to 100nm thin films produced by in situ deposition of industrially important pristine MgO and ZnO by inkjet printing. It is suggested that the observed long range magnetic order, the so-called do magnetism in these oxides arises from cation vacancies. LÄS MER
4. Spin Dynamics and Magnetic Multilayers
Sammanfattning : Theoretical studies based on first-principles theory are presented for a number of different magnetic systems. The first part of the thesis concerns spin dynamics and the second part concerns properties of magnetic multilayers. The theoretical treatment is based on electronic structure calculations performed by means of density functional theory. LÄS MER
5. A new approach to the analyses of fluorescence depolarisation experiments in the presence of electronic energy transport
Sammanfattning : A new and general procedure is described for a detailed analysis of time-resolved fluorescence depolarisation data in the presence of electronic energy migration. An isotropic ensemble of bifluorophoric molecules (D1-R-D2) has been studied to demonstrate its utility. LÄS MER
