   Sammanfattning : This work focuses on (i) spectral signatures of rocks and lichens, and on the use of satellite images for (ii) survey mapping of areas dominated by exposed bedrock, (iii) bedrock mapping and mineral prospecting.(i) Laboratory measurements demonstrate that a lichen cover can significantly mask the spectral reflectance of rocks.    Sammanfattning : The overall objective of this thesis was to investigate patients with TMD-pain and TMD-free controls in three cultures (Saudi Arabia, Sweden, and Italy) to determine the influence of culture on and crosscultural differences in pain prevalence and intensity, sensitivity to mechanical and electrical stimulation, pain-related disability for four comorbid pain conditions (back, head, chest, and stomach pain) in the last 6 months, and the type of treatment that patients with TMD pain received.    Sammanfattning : The Arabian–Nubian Shield (ANS) represents a major site of juvenile Neoproterozoic crustal addition on Earth and documents Neoproterozoic tectonics bracketed by two supercontinent cycles, namely the fragmentation of Rodinia and the amalgamation of Gondwana. There is general consensus that the ANS formed by juvenile magmatic arc accretion and subsequent shield–wide post–tectonic magmatism. LÄS MER
