  1. 11. Solar receiver development for gas-turbine based solar dish systems

    Författare :Lukas Aichmayer; Björn Laumert; Konstantinos Kyprianidis; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Concentrating solar power; volumetric solar receiver; development; experimental evaluation; validation; Koncentrerad solkraft; volumetrisk solmottagare; utveckling; experimentell utvärdering; validering; Energy Technology; Energiteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Small-scale concentrating solar power plants such as micro gas-turbine based solar dish systems have the potential to harness solar energy in an effective way and supply electricity to customers in remote areas. In such systems, the solar receiver transfers the power of concentrated solar radiation to the working fluid of the power conversion cycle. LÄS MER

  2. 12. To be or not to be: On system dynamics and the viability of mini-grids in rural electrification

    Författare :Elias Hartvigsson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; system dynamics; rural electrification; reliability; mini-grids; complexity; load assessment;

    Sammanfattning : One to two billion people are expected to receive electricity access in developing countries in the coming decades. Many of these people will live in rural areas in developing countries where the existing grid will not be able to reach. These people will therefore rely on off-grid technologies to gain electricity access. LÄS MER

  3. 13. Watt’s next? On socio-technical transitions towards future electricity system architectures

    Författare :Kristina Hojcková; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; electricity system; transition pathways; innovation system context; technological innovation system; future configurations; entrepreneurial activities; socio-technical transition;

    Sammanfattning : In the effort to fight climate change, the electricity systems around the world are undergoing a transformation towards being based on renewable sources of energy.  The criterion of one hundred per cent renewables can, however, be satisfied in several radically different ways, varying from global or continental super grids via local smart-grids to self-sufficient off-grid communities and households of electricity prosumers. 4. 14. Emerging networks of power: Exploring sociotechnical pathways towards future electricity systems based on renewable energy technologies

    Författare :Kristina Hojcková; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; entrepreneurs; context; sociotechnical systems perspective; Technological Innovation System; Multilevel Perspective; electricity system; transition pathways; incumbents; renewable energy; energy users;

    Sammanfattning : In the effort to fight climate change, electricity systems around the world are undergoing a transition from fossil-fuelled to renewable energy-based production of electricity. The transition can, however, be attained in several radically different ways, ranging from global or continental super-grids, via local smart-grids, to self-sufficient off-grid communities and households of electricity prosumers. 5. 15. Film morphology for organic solar cells : Effect of Solubility and Gravity Conditions

    Författare :Ishita Jalan; Jan van Stam; Leif Ericsson; Stela Andrea Muntean; Philippe Leclère; Karlstads universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Kemi; Chemistry; Chemistry - Physical Chemistry; Kemi - fysikalisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : Organic photovoltaics is a promising environmentally friendly technology, due to their printability, light-weight nature and mechanical flexibility, and the possibility to use off-grid. Research and development in this field has resulted in power conversion efficiencies of over 15%. LÄS MER
