    Sammanfattning : A multi-step route to unsymmetrically substituted benzophenones based on cationic hapto6-arene-hapto5-cyclopentadienyl iron complexes has been developed. The key features are nucleophilic aromatic substitution reactions performed on hapto6-2-chlorocarbomethoxybenzene-hapto5-cyclopentadienyl iron hexafluorophosphate with phenoxides, followed by intramolecular Friedel-Crafts ring-closure.     Sammanfattning : In this study, well defined ZSM-5 films were prepared on monoliths, ceramic foams, alumina beads, glass beads and crushed quartz glass by further refinement of a method originally developed at the division of Chemical Technology, Luleå University of Technology. The supports were seeded with silicalite-1 seeds and hydrothermally treated, either at 75 °C or at 150 °C in a single or several steps. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Electrocatalysis, the foundation of electrical to chemical energy transformation, enables the mitigation of the electrical energy losses during reactions and the control of selectivity of the process to certain chemical products. The slow rate and the multi-step complexity of oxygen-associated reactions, namely oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) and oxygen evolution reaction (OER), motivate the use of platinum group metals (PGM) catalysts, which significantly increase the price of the technologies due to the cost and scarcity of PGM-based materials.     Sammanfattning : The use of low-friction coatings on machine elements is steadily increasing, and they are expected to play an important role in the reduction of fuel consumption of future motorized vehicles. Many low-friction coatings function by transformation of the outermost coating layer into tribofilms, which then cover the coating surface and its counter surface. LÄS MER
