  1. 26. Computer Assisted Coronary CT Angiography Analysis : Disease-centered Software Development

    Författare :Chunliang Wang; Örjan Smedby; Anders Persson; Hans Frimmel; Markus Müller; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Coronary CTA; vessel segmenation; centerline tracking; visualization; Radiology; Radiologi; Image analysis; Bildanalys; Cardiology; Kardiologi;

    Sammanfattning : The substantial advances of coronary CTA have resulted in a boost of use of this new technique in the last several years, which brings a big challenge to radiologists by the increasing number of exams and the large amount of data for each patient. The main goal of this study was to develop a computer tool to facilitate coronary CTA analysis by combining knowledge of medicine and image processing. LÄS MER

  2. 27. Cardiac hypertrophy : transcription patterns, hypertrophic progression and extracellular signalling

    Författare :Nina Gennebäck; Stellan Mörner; Anders Waldenström; Urban Hellman; Ali J Marian; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Cardiac hypertrophy; HCM; gene expression; OPLS-DA; multivariate dataanalysis; cardiomyocytes; exosomes; microvesicles; Medicine; medicin;

    Sammanfattning : Background: The aim of this thesis was to study transcription patterns and extracellular signalling of the hypertrophic heart to better understand the mechanisms initiating, controlling and maintaining cardiac hypertrophy.Cardiac hypertrophy is a risk factor for cardiovascular morbidity and mortality. 3. 28. Work-related cardiovascular disease

    Författare :Helena Eriksson; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Occupational noise; shift work; job strain; seafarer; cardiovascular disease;

    Sammanfattning : The overall aim of this thesis was to study occupational risk factors for cardiovascular disease, particularly, occupational noise, job strain and shift work. Incidence of cardiovascular disease was analysed in a general population sample, the Primary Prevention Study, in relation to exposure to noise and job strain. LÄS MER
