16. Exploring Polymer-Shelled Microbubbles: Detection Modeling and Application
Sammanfattning : Ultrasound imaging (US) is widely used in clinical practice. Given the low cost and easy access to the ultrasound machine, US has a great potential to improve the health care condition for the majority of the population in the world. The US could be significantly improved by injecting ultrasound contrast agents to opacify the bloodstream. LÄS MER
17. Bioanalytical separation using capillary electrophoresis : Applications with microbubbles and proteins
Sammanfattning : In this thesis the possibilities of using capillary electrophoresis as a separation technique for analysis of proteins and microbubbles is presented.A complete analytical process consists of five necessary steps of which one is the actual analysis step. For this step a suitable analytical technique is needed. LÄS MER
18. On multi body systems simulation in product design
Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis is to provide a basis for efficientmodelling and software use in simulation driven productdevelopment. The capabilities of modern commercial computersoftware for design are analysed experimentally andqualitatively. LÄS MER
19. Simulation of Dynamic Interaction between Train and Turnout
Sammanfattning : Dynamic train–track interaction is more complex in railway turnouts (switches & crossings) than on ordinary tangent or curved tracks. Multiple contacts between wheel and rail are common, and severe impact loads with broad frequency contents are induced when the nominal wheel–rail contact conditions are disturbed due to the continuous variation in rail profiles and the discontinuities in the crossing panel. 20. Head Injuries in Car-to-Pedestrian Accidents - Investigation of Head Impact Dynamics, Injury Mechanisms and Countermeasures
Sammanfattning : The aim of this study was to investigate head impact dynamics and to establish risk functions for head injuries by mathematical reconstructions of real-world car-to-pedestrian accidents. Furthermore, an attempt was made to develop an approach for the design and evaluation of head-protective devices. LÄS MER
