  1. 16. Methodologies to assess the fate of polar organic compounds in aquatic environments

    Författare :Jörgen Magnér; Tomas Alsberg; Dag Broman; Jan-Åke Jönsson; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Passive equilibrium sampler; Absorbent; Polar organic compounds; Liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry; Partitioning coefficient; Fulvic acid; Sediment; PEVAC; Bag-SPE; Solid phase extraction; Pharmaceuticals; Wastewater; Sea water; UPLC-QToF; Environmental chemistry; Miljökemi; Analytical chemistry; Analytisk kemi; Applied Environmental Science; tillämpad miljövetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : Polar organic compounds (POCs) are chemicals with polar functional groups in their structure. The functional groups make the compounds hydrophilic and less prone to partition with biota. However, the knowledge of their fate is limited due to difficulties associated with their measurements. 2. 17. The FLT3 Tyrosine Kinase in Leukemia : Deciphering the Downstream Signaling Events and Drug-Escape Mechanisms

    Författare :Amanda Nordigården; Jan-Ingvar Jönsson; Mickael Sigvardsson; Alexander Vener; Bengt Hallberg; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is a severe disease, which originates in blood-forming cells. Although major advances in understanding the biology of AML, the majority of patients eventually succumb to the disease. LÄS MER

  3. 18. New concepts and techniques for quantification and trace analysis by gas chromatography

    Författare :Johan Pettersson; Johan Roerrade; Jan Åke Jönsson; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Chemistry; quantitative accuracy; calibration; extenal standards; valume contraction; molar excess volume; Kemi; Chemistry; Kemi;

    Sammanfattning : In the first part of this thesis, strategies for avoiding systematic errors when quantifying the main components in mixtures of solvents has been developed (paper I). It is shown that variations in density caused by variations in sample composition and/or volume contraction need to be taken into account. In this way, quantification can be improved. LÄS MER

  4. 19. Knock Knock Knock, Who is there? - Cell Crosstalk within the Bone Marrow

    Författare :Jenny Stjernberg (Zetterblad); Mikael Sigvardsson; Jan-Ingvar Jönsson; Hanna Mikkola; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis is focused on the subject of cell-cell interaction. Our body is composed of cells, most of them are integrated in a network with other cells that together forms tissues and organs. Every cell type in these complex organs has its special task and location. LÄS MER

  5. 20. Genetic Mechanisms during Terminal Cell Fate Specification in the Drosophila CNS

    Författare :Johannes Stratmann; Stefan Thor; Jan-Ingvar Jönsson; Christos Samakovlis; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : Specification of the many unique neuronal subtypes found in the nervous system depends on spatiotemporal cues and terminal selector cascades, mostly acting in sequential combinatorial codes of transcription factors (TFs) to dictate cell fate. Out of 10,000 cells in the Drosophila embryonic ventral nerve cord (VNC), only 28 cells selectively express Nplp1. LÄS MER
