  1. 1. Metal Expansion Penetration During Solidification of Grey Cast Iron

    Författare :Izudin Dugic; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Grey cast iron; solidification; solidification modelling; graphite expansion; molar volume; casting simulation; thennal analysis; thermoanalysis cup; casting temperature; inoculation; inoculant; meta! expansion penetration; eutectic cell size.; TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIKVETENSKAP;

    Sammanfattning : The meta! expansion penetration has been examined experimentally. The whole casting process was simulated using a commercial software, in order to investigate the solidification characteristics and the pore formation in the casting studied. LÄS MER

  2. 2. New concepts and techniques for quantification and trace analysis by gas chromatography

    Författare :Johan Pettersson; Johan Roerrade; Jan Åke Jönsson; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Chemistry; quantitative accuracy; calibration; extenal standards; valume contraction; molar excess volume; Kemi; Chemistry; Kemi;

    Sammanfattning : In the first part of this thesis, strategies for avoiding systematic errors when quantifying the main components in mixtures of solvents has been developed (paper I). It is shown that variations in density caused by variations in sample composition and/or volume contraction need to be taken into account. In this way, quantification can be improved. LÄS MER

  3. 3. On thermodynamic properties of aqueous ethylamine mixtures and modelling of excess properties

    Författare :Åsa Ulrika Burman; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Sammanfattning : Ethylenediamine (EDA) is a bifunctional amine used for several different purposes such as for production of the Ethylenediaminetetracetric acid (EDTA) that is used as a chelating agent in detergents but also for fungicides, bleaching activators etc. In many applications very high purity is needed and the removal of the byproduct Ethylethylenediamine (EtEDA) has proven to be difficult. 4. 4. CO2 Separation with Ionic Liquids -Property, Gas solubility and Energy consumption

    Författare :Yujiao Xie; Päivi Elisa Mäki-Arvela; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Energy Engineering; Energiteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Ionic liquids (ILs) have shown great potential to be used as liquid absorbents for CO2 capture because of its advantages, such as non-volatility, functionality, high CO2 solubility and lower energy requirements for regeneration. A significant amount of research has been carried out, but most of them are on the synthesis of novel ILs and the measurements of CO2 solubility in ILs. LÄS MER
