Sammanfattning : This thesis is an interrogation of the contemporary politics of movement and more specifically, migration politics from the perspective of the agency of design and designing. 29. Governing the Unaccompanied Child - Media, Policy and Practice
Sammanfattning : Through three different case studies, this thesis analyzes how unaccompanied minors are constructed and governed as a specific group of refugees in Norway and Sweden. The first study investigates the Norwegian and Swedish media debate from 2000-2008 by examining how incidences of so-called “missing unaccompanied children” were highlighted on the media agenda. 30. The Age of Frontex : Banal Securitization and its Normalization in EUropean External(ized) Border Control
Sammanfattning : This dissertation examines how migration has become securitized in what I term the field of EUropean external(ized) border control and how this securitization has become increasingly normalized.
