1. A Genealogy of Governing Economic Behaviour : Small-scale credit in Malawi 1930–2010
Sammanfattning : In this thesis the aim has been to analyse changes and continuity in the governing of economic behaviour in small-scale credit schemes in colonial Nyasaland and independent Malawi from 1930 until 2010. Furthermore, how the effects of history in terms of how colonial and post-colonial development discourses and practices have been rephrased and reused in the early 21st century are discussed. LÄS MER
2. Governing the Unaccompanied Child - Media, Policy and Practice
Sammanfattning : Through three different case studies, this thesis analyzes how unaccompanied minors are constructed and governed as a specific group of refugees in Norway and Sweden. The first study investigates the Norwegian and Swedish media debate from 2000-2008 by examining how incidences of so-called “missing unaccompanied children” were highlighted on the media agenda. 4. A study of the generation of diversity in the central nervous system
Sammanfattning : Developmental biology is concerned with understanding the mechanisms that govern the generation of a whole organism starting from one single cell. In the central nervous system (CNS) the development of different classes of neurons and glial cells involves both extrinsic signals and intrinsic cues that together govern the specification of different cell fates dependent on position within the CNS and the time of generation. Increased public consciousness for environmental pollution and stricter government legislation are also drivers for a more efficient product development process and companies competing on the global market must continue to improve there methods and tools to gain an advantage.
