  1. 11. A study of the fatigue behaviour of laser and hybrid laser welds

    Författare :Md. Minhaj Alam; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Manufacturing Systems Engineering; Produktionsutveckling;

    Sammanfattning : This licentiate thesis focuses on the fatigue cracking behaviour of laser and hybrid laser-MAG welded structures. Beside the welding process and the resulting weld, several topics related to fatigue of welded structures are treated such as; macro and micro surface geometry, weld defects and their influence on fatigue performance of welded structures, fatigue analysis by the nominal and effective notch stress method, fatigue life prediction using LEFM (Linear Elastic Fracture Mechanics), fatigue testing, metallurgical analysis, elastic and elastic-plastic finite element analysis. 2. 12. Development and evaluation of hybrid joining for metals to polymers using friction stir welding

    Författare :Wallop Ratanathavorn; Arne Melander; Stefan Hallström; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; aluminium alloy; thermoplastic; friction stir welding; dissimilar joining; Production Engineering; Industriell produktion;

    Sammanfattning : Combinations of different materials are increasingly used in the modern engineering structures. The driving forces of this trend are rising fuel costs, global warming, customer demands and strict emission standards. LÄS MER

  3. 13. Comprehensive numerical analysis of stress state in adhesive layer of joint including thermal residual stress and material non-linearity

    Författare :Nawres Jabar Al-Ramahi; Roberts Joffe; Janis Varna; Lars Mikkelsen; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Single-lap adhesive joint; Double-lap adhesive joint; Unbalanced bi-material DCB; Residual thermal stresses; Finite element method; Crack path; Crack closure; Polymeric Composite Materials; Polymera kompositmaterial;

    Sammanfattning : The main objective of this work is to improve understanding of the stress state in the adhesive layer of bonded joints and identify key parameters which govern performance of adhesive joints. This information is crucial for the prediction of the failure initiation and propagation with the further estimation of the durability and strength of adhesively bonded structures. LÄS MER

  4. 14. Prestressed hybrids of AAC and HPC : The BCE (Block Composed Element) building system. A conceptual study

    Författare :Hamid Bagheri; Bo Göran Hellers; Jonas Holmgren; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Architecture and architectural conservation and restoration; Arkitektur och bebyggelsevård;

    Sammanfattning : There is an important potential for a development of a building system, if the present AACblock plants are completed with high performance concrete and pre-stressing technique. This can be done as a continuation of a present AAC production or in a site factory. Hybrid cooperation between AAC and concrete is not a new technology. LÄS MER
