6. Environmental Integration in Sustainable Urban Planning from an Institutional Perspective : A Study of Swedish and Chinese Eco-City Development
Sammanfattning : The continuously rising attention to and practice of eco-city development in Sweden and China, as well as the countries’ active cooperation has motivated this study and the exploration of eco-city development in these two countries. In eco-city development, diverse environmental issues may well be beyond the planning sector’s capacity and need to be resolved elsewhere by other authorities and agencies in such areas as energy, water and traffic. 7. Towards a Framework for Relational-Oriented Management of Information Systems Outsourcing : Key Conditions Connected to Actors, Relationships and Process
Sammanfattning : Currently, client and supplier firms are struggling with how they can make their information systems (IS) outsourcing engagements more valuable. This research points to the importance of successful practice and outcome in IS outsourcing for achieving engagements of value. LÄS MER
8. Reiterated homogenization and G-convergence for some sequences of monotone operators
Sammanfattning : In this thesis, the main focus is on G-convergence and homogenization of monotone parabolic equations with multiple scales. This kind of equation is examined with respect to existence and uniqueness of the solution, in view of the properties of some monotone operators. LÄS MER
9. G-Convergence and Homogenization of some Monotone Operators
Sammanfattning : In this thesis we investigate some partial differential equations with respect to G-convergence and homogenization. We study a few monotone parabolic equations that contain periodic oscillations on several scales, and also some linear elliptic and parabolic problems where there are no periodicity assumptions. 10. Population differentiation in Lythrum salicaria along a latitudinal gradient
Sammanfattning : In this thesis, quantitative genetic approaches, common-garden experiments, and field studies were combined to examine patterns of population differentiation and the genetic architecture of characters of putative adaptive significance in the widely distributed perennial herb Lythrum salicaria. In this work, I (1) documented patterns of population differentiation in phenology, life-history, and morphology along latitudinal gradients at different geographical scales, (2) investigated the genetic architecture of phenology, flower morphology, and inflorescence size, and (3) combined estimates of phenotypic selection in the field with information on the genetic variance-covariance matrix (G) to examine potential constraints to adaptive evolution.
