16. Traffic and Road Sign Recognition
Sammanfattning : This thesis presents a system to recognise and classify road and traffic signs for the purpose of developing an inventory of them which could assist the highway engineers’ tasks of updating and maintaining them. It uses images taken by a camera from a moving vehicle. LÄS MER
17. Visualisation and Generalisation of 3D City Models
Sammanfattning : 3D city models have been widely used in various applications such as urban planning, traffic control, disaster management etc. Efficient visualisation of 3D city models in different levels of detail (LODs) is one of the pivotal technologies to support these applications. LÄS MER
18. Improved finite element modelingfor chip morphology prediction inmachining of C45E steel
Sammanfattning : Within the manufacturing of metallic components, machining plays an important role and is of vital significance to ensure process reliability. From a cutting tool design perspective, physics-based numerical modeling that can predict chip morphology is highly necessary to design tool macro geometry. LÄS MER
19. Dynamic magnetic resonance imaging of the breast : imaging features for diagnosis and prognosis of breast cancer
Sammanfattning : The general aim of the present thesis was to identify and study dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (CE-MRI) features that contribute to the diagnosis and may help in predicting prognosis in breast cancer. Study I studied the kinetic and morphological MR features and their diagnostic power were studied in a total of 92 women with 109 histopathologically verified breast lesions. LÄS MER
20. Template Based Recognition of On-Line Handwriting
Sammanfattning : Software for recognition of handwriting has been available for several decades now and research on the subject have produced several different strategies for producing competitive recognition accuracies, especially in the case of isolated single characters. The problem of recognizing samples of handwriting with arbitrary connections between constituent characters (emph{unconstrained handwriting}) adds considerable complexity in form of the segmentation problem.
