21. Benefits and risks with digital dermoscopy and teledermoscopy
Sammanfattning : The increasing incidence of malignant melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancer (NMSC) makes it necessary to optimize the management of patients with suspicious skin lesions, from triaging, to establishing a diagnosis and planning treatment. The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the use of teledermoscopy (TDS) as a way of achieving such an optimization, as well as to study safety aspects of digital dermoscopy and teledermoscopy while pointing out risks and pitfalls so that they can be avoided. 23. Polyunsaturated fatty acids in relation to childhood and maternal allergic diseases
Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis was to study polyunsaturated fatty acid (PUPA) in relation to the appem11nce of anergic diseases in children and mothers in late pregnancy and during the lactation period and to the development of atopy in children, as well as the influence of maternal PUF A on their babies. The levels of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA, C22:6n-3) and total n-3 long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids (LCP) were lower (p = 0. 25. Finding the ligand : retinoid receptor activation in the CNS
Sammanfattning : Nuclear hormone receptors (NRs) comprise a large family of ligand activated transcription factors, found in vertebrates, arthropods and nematodes. Among the members of the NR family are the receptors for small, lipophilic ligands such as the steroid hormones, vitamins A and D, thyroid hormone oxysterols and bile acids. LÄS MER
