    Nyckelord :catalytic combustion; gas turbine; methane; palladium; alumina; barium; lanthanum; oxidation; preparation; temperature-programmed oxidation TPO ; decomposition; reoxidation; X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy XPS ; metal-support interaction; deactiva;

    Sammanfattning : Catalytic combustion is an environmentally benign technologywhich has recently reached the stage of commercialization.Palladium is the catalyst of choice when considering gasturbines fuelled with natural gas because of its superioractivity for methane oxidation. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Mesoporous material systems for catalysis and drug delivery

    Författare :Aylin Atakan; Magnus Odén; Cristina Canal; Petra de Jongh; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Sammanfattning : Hybrid material systems possess multi-functional properties which make them intriguing for the materials science community since very early dates. However, it is not straightforward to produce such material systems. A smart and efficient approach is necessary to extract the desired properties of each component under the desired conditions. Sammanfattning : Cerium dioxide, or ceria, is a chemically stable oxygen ion conducting material with a capacity to store and release oxygen, and is therefore extensively used in combustion catalysts. The Cu-Ce-O system has been identified as one of the most active catalysts for the combustion of carbon monoxide. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Nanomaterials for high-temperature catalytic combustion

    Författare :Erik Elm Svensson; Sven Järås; Magali Boutonnet; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; catalytic combustion; microemulsion; hexaaluminate; magnesia; perovskite; ceria; methane; gas turbine; katalytisk förbränning; mikroemulsion; hexaaluminat; magnesia; perovskit; ceriumdioxid; metan; gasturbin; Catalysis; Katalys;

    Sammanfattning : Katalytisk förbränning är en lovande teknik för användning vid kraftgenerering, särskilt för gasturbiner. Genom att använda katalytisk förbränning kan man nå mycket låga emissioner av kväveoxider (NOX), kolmonoxid (CO) och oförbrända kolväten (UHC) samtidigt, vilket är svårt vid konventionell förbränning. 5. 5. Porous Cerium Dioxide for Catalytic Applications

    Författare :Mats Lundberg; Centrum för analys och syntes; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; materialteknik; Chemical technology and engineering; Kemiteknik och kemisk teknologi; Materiallära; Material technology; catalysis; transmission electron microscopy; macroporous; mesoporous; cerium dioxide; zirconium dioxide;

    Sammanfattning : Mesoporous cerium dioxide with high crystallinity has been synthesized and studied by TEM, SEM, nitrogen adsorption, PXRD, AFM, and SAXS. The catalytic properties of the materials have been investigated The results of the catalysis experiments were correlated with high resolution TEM investigations of the corresponding material, and it was found that the exposed crystallographic facets play an important role in the conversion of carbon monoxide to carbon dioxide.
