    Sammanfattning : Catalytic combustion is an environmentally benign technologywhich has recently reached the stage of commercialization.Palladium is the catalyst of choice when considering gasturbines fuelled with natural gas because of its superioractivity for methane oxidation. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Coke on Supported Palladium and Platinum Catalysts

    Författare :Mikael Larsson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TPO; palladium; deactivation; coke; propane dehydrogenation; microbalance; vegetable oil hydrogenation; acetylene hydrogenation; catalysis; platinum;

    Sammanfattning : Catalyst deactivation by coke formation has been investigated in three heterogeneous catalytic processes, propane dehydrogenation, acetylene hydrogenation and hydrogenation of vegetable oil. Palladium and/or platinum supported on alumina were used as catalysts in all reactions. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Catalyst Deactivation by Coke Formation. A Study of the Carbonaceous Layer on a Used Hydrogenation Catalyst

    Författare :Åsa Wrammerfors; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : The carbonaceous layer, formed on a Ni/SiO2 catalyst, and its influence on the selectivity in a hydrogenation reaction have been studied. The model reaction system studied was the consecutive hydrogenation of 2-ethyl-hexenal: Exposure of the catalyst to 2-ethyl-hexenal or cyclopentadiene at elevated temperatures before the hydrogenation, yielded an increased selectivity toward the formation of 2-ethyl-hexanal.
